Aconitase is a member of a family of iron-sulfur-containing (de) hydratases whose activities
are modulated in bacteria by superoxide radical (O)-mediated inactivation and iron-
dependent reactivation. The inactivation-reactivation of aconitase (s) in cultured mammalian
